Welcome to the
Rotary Club of Chicago Archives (ROTARY/One)

Please support the ongoing development of the home of Paul and Jean Harris, known as Comely Bank.   www.paulharrishome.org

The ROTARY/One Foundation has donated $100,000 towards the renovations and preservation, as well as loaned the foundation $500,000 so that it can be matched with the loan from The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International to continue and complete the renovation while the capital campaign commences.   Your support is greatly appreciated.

Donations can also be made for the archives to the ROTARY/One Foundation at www.rotaryone.org.

Rotarians and members of the public can now access a Finding Aid that provides an outline of the material held in the Rotary Club of Chicago Archives. This Finding Aid, in both .pdf and .html formats, is fully searchable. In addition to the Finding Aid, digital instances (images) of approximately 20,000 documents and photos are also available. Digital instances of material held in the Rotary Club of Chicago Archives were produced by a commercial scanning company. While document images are generally satisfactory, photograph images may or may not be clear. No re-touching of documents or photographs is performed during archival quality image capture; digital instances are intended to capture the current state of an item and to enhance or change that state digitally does not follow current Archival standards. The Archives are currently stored in a commercial facility; access to them is limited.

While every effort has been made to make this first iteration of these web pages user friendly, please keep in mind that the site is a work in progress and material will be added on an ongoing basis. Your patience as we make enhancements will be greatly appreciated.

The Rotary Club of Chicago thanks its members and friends who contributed photos, documents and other materials that are contained in our Rotary Club of Chicago Archives. Without your contributions, this site would not be possible.
